Bringing Excellence to Dentistry

Mission Statement
The Southwest Academy of Comprehensive Dentistry is a dental continuing education group that has attracted top practitioners from around the world, both as presenters and as participants in study circles dedicated to excellence in treatment planning and, of course, the treatment rendered. Our Study Club is organized by an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon with an Advisory Board made up of a fellow Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, Periodontist, Prosthodontist, Endodontist, Orthodontist, and two General Practitioners available to the Club as facilitators and mentors. Our goal is to learn together as a team of general dentists and specialists in an interdisciplinary environment. It is our desire to share treatment planning information and ideas, updates on recent technology, practice management philosophies, and comprehensive cases in a non-competitive atmosphere where all participants can learn on equal ground. Our Study Club is an affiliate of the Seattle Study Club in good standing and our participation in this state-of-the art educational forum is just one more sign of our commitment to you and your patients.

Continuing Education Goals 2008-2009
Our goal as a continuing education provider is to assist dental care practitioners in satisfying their annual state required credited learning hours through monthly sessions which may contain lecture and/or participation. In addition, we strive to create a non-competitive “university without walls” atmosphere where dental practitioners can learn from their peers, mentors, and various area specialists.
SACD is designated as an Approved PACE Provider by the Academy of General Dentistry. The formal continuing dental education programs of this program provider are accepted by the AGD for Fellowship, Mastership and membership maintenance credit. Approval does not imply acceptance by a state or provincial board of dentistry or AGD endorsement. The current term of approval extends from June 8, 2005 to June 7, 2009.
